Timaya "Bum Bum" vs PSquare's "Alingo"

Every radio station and club in Nigeria has put Timaya's "Bum Bum" on massive airplay and no one can deny that song rocks. Some people have even classified this song as an indication of Timaya's new image and direction, especially when you consider the Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa has cut off his dread locks.

However, PSquare's new single "Alingo" hasn't quite received the same acceptance. Some have accused the twins of stealing from Timaya's "Bum Bum" and referencing them as copy cats, linking them to their style of music at the start of their career. Several tweets have poured in with unkind words towards the new song, while some others have defended the twins.
