Naeto C ft D'Banj- "Tony Montana Remix" Music video

Naeto C
Naeto C whose real name is NaetoChukwu Chikwe doesn't seem to be slowing down for anyone. One would have expected the newly married artist to take some time away from the music to handle his new status, sorry to burst your bubble, there's no sign of him slowing down.

He just completed his music video project for the remix of "Tony Montana" with ace musician D'Banj. The internet went agog when pictures of D'banj next to a Cheetah were released. The pictures were said to have been taken during the video shoot of Naeto C's remix to "Tony Montana".

Capital F.E.M.I- The Year Of R'n'B

Capital F.E.M.I

It's been almost three years now since Kennis Music artist- Capital F.E.M.I returned from the USA to establish himself as a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian music industry.
It has also taken him that long to put together an album filled with one hour of some original straight up R&B.

Many have tried and failed to create an album which can hit a pass mark for R&B but failed due to the constant pressure to push sales hence infusing elements of afro-pop, high-life, street-hop and so on and diluting the music. Mr. Femi Adeyinka who's Gbenga Adeyinka's younger brother (Gbenga Adeyinka is a popular Nigerian comedian) has refused to compromise when it comes to good music and has given us a stellar 17 track LP filled with mid-tempo R&B love ballads.

Timaya "Bum Bum" vs PSquare's "Alingo"

Every radio station and club in Nigeria has put Timaya's "Bum Bum" on massive airplay and no one can deny that song rocks. Some people have even classified this song as an indication of Timaya's new image and direction, especially when you consider the Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa has cut off his dread locks.

Guest Spotlight- DC, Nigeria's Soft Rock/Pop Genius.

Let's paint a beautiful scenario where your fiance plans to pop the question during a candle light dinner. All's set and pretty much what you'd expect a romantic dinner to feel like. Conversations go on real nice, good background music and then he goes down on one knee... (cue song- DC's "Will You Marry Me?")

...and presents this to you.

Tange-ring

That should do the trick and a very sure move that will get a "Yes" any day any time; way better than presenting this other ring...

Ladies, what say ye?

For those of you who do not yet know, the song you just listened to "Marry Me" was done by a brilliant Nigerian, DC.

The 24-year old Delta state artist whose real name is  Donald Franklin Chukwuyem Isedeh, has already garnered fame within a short period of time. His single "Marry Me" has received more airplay in a short space of time than most artists that have been in the industry much longer than he has.
The third and last of his siblings, DC describes himself as friendly and funny but insists he's the last person you'd want to go along with to have a good time in the club. This is what he had to say concerning being the last child- "Being the last born can have its disadvantages! Like if anyone comes to the house and they realize I'm the last ,it just ruins my swag, especially if it's a girl".
Let me tell you a little secret (he's related to one of the most popular Nigerian on-air personalities. I'm talking about the beautiful and crazy Omalicha of Rhythm 93.7FM in Lagos).

Artist Spotlight: Liquideep (South Africa)

Left- Ziyon, Right- Ryzor
The Liquideep duo is made up of a Ziyon [singer/songwriter/producer] and Ryzor [DJ/producer], the two met as friends first in 2006 before their mutual love for hook-laden, melodically rich deep house music inspired the birth of Liquideep in 2007.
Ziyon who was originally in the States before he moved back officially to South Africa in 2004 started singing professionally when he was 19. He found himself in music circles and realized that he could take his passion to the next level. He started producing in 2001 for a lady called Swazi Dhlamini. He did tracks for Gloria Bosman, Loyiso Bala and other artistes.
Ryzor on the other hand was born in Alex, but grew up in Limpopo then moved back to Alex when he was older.
Just two years after their formation they caught the attention of the entire nation with the anthem ‘Fairytale’, which got play-listed on every major station in SA and received a SAMA 2010 nomination for Song of the Year.

Following their ‘Oscillations’ mix contribution to House Afrika Sessions Vol. 1, their debut artist album, ‘Fabrics Of The Heart’, was released with much fan fare in May 2010 selling in excess of 5000 copies in the first 5 days on the shelf. It turned out to have even more club-bangers with tracks like BBM, Angel, Settle for Less, Feel It and Still.
